Mojgan Ilanlou

Mojgan Ilanlou is an Iranian woman human rights defender and documentary filmmaker. She is a member of the Iranian Independent Filmmakers Association (IIFMA). Through her films, she documents challenges and discrimination faced by women in Iran, particularly in sports and regarding access to public life and job equality.

Additionally, Mojgan Ilanlou has been advocating for women’s rights by highlighting gender inequality and restrictions on women’s right in Iran. In 2022, she publicly expressed support for nationwide "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests and shared images of herself on social media without a mandatory veil. Since then, she has been arrested and detained multiple times.
